Sallyanne Scotton Moonga is a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts Film School, who has worked extensively on film sets and in theatre. For the past decade she has focused on writing and directing for the stage, gaining additional training through the Globe Theatre, London. During her time at the Crescent Theatre in Birmingham, UK she successfully adapted and directed a touring production of Jane Austen’s Emma, as well as productions of Not About Heroes and The 39 Steps.
Since having kids and moving to the Hunter Region she has been involved in the Lake Mac One Act Play Festival, Micro Theatre and has had her writing published in an anthology as part of the Joanne Burns Microlit Award.
In 2024, Sallyanne founded Bootique Productions, a theatrical production company based in the Hunter region focused on telling classic gothic tales with a feminine focus.
