Jane Austen's Emma, Adapted by Sallyanne Scotton Moonga
Directed by Sallyanne Scotton Moonga
The Crescent Theatre, Birmingham, UK (Touring Production)
The Play
Young Emma Woodhouse is handsome, clever and rich. Self-satisfied, and utterly content with her own life, she sees the lives of the people of Highbury as hers to meddle with, until she realises that she doesn't have as much control as she thinks over other people or her own heart... This original adaptation of one of Jane Austen's finest works is a lively, amusing and highly entertaining interpretation. This touring production sold out at three of the four venues where it toured.
